YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICE

Privacy & data

Your workout records belong to you. Bullshit Lifts does not send them to an app database.

What is stored

Your exercise names, weights, reps, sets, dates, equipment choices and notes are saved to IndexedDB on this device under the app's website address. The theme choice and last-backup reminder are saved in this browser's local storage.

What isn't collected by the app

The app has no account system, workout-data API, advertising trackers or app analytics. We don't receive your lifting history when you log a lift, edit it or search.

Hosting and sign-in

The website host or an optional access gateway (such as Cloudflare Pages or Cloudflare Access) may process normal network request information, including IP address, when you load the site or sign in. That is separate from your locally stored workout records, which the app does not upload.

Backups and deletion

JSON backup exports your full workout history and exercise list. CSV exports workout entries for review. Exported files are not encrypted by Bullshit Lifts, so store them somewhere safe and don't commit them to a public repository. Restoring a JSON backup replaces the workout data on the current device.

Clearing website data, switching browsers or domains, removing the installed app, or losing the device may delete your locally stored records. If you want to erase them, clear the site's storage in your browser settings; any backups you exported must be deleted separately.

Offline and installation

A service worker caches the app files to support offline use after a successful initial load. Installing the app does not create cloud sync. If your hosting uses access controls, authentication may require internet.
